Read the record

On July 23, Schwaab tells Erica Brown that an extensive records search could not establish that Eugenia Fortes ever resided at 23 Pleasant Hill Lane, while maintaining its Happy Hollow heritage value. The next day Bloom says Ratliff’s letter may not be accurate in light of that research. Schwaab says it is on Facebook and that he deleted his discussion of the historical dispute to let her letter shine. The chain also shows forwarding from a redacted Bloom display account to his Town account.

What it establishes

Conscious editorial choice and sharing municipal/civic correspondence, plus complicating evidence of independent fact-checking.

Limits and context

This establishes the writers’ stated research and editorial decisions, not the property’s history or the exact published post. Schwaab did not thereby claim authorship of Ratliff’s letter. Mixed-account forwarding does not establish concealment or missing records.
